I offer one-to-one IELTS tutoring tailored to each student’s current level, target score, and preparation timeline. 

My teaching combines targeted test strategies with structured practice. I work closely with students to identify specific weaknesses, refine answering techniques, and develop clearer and more effective ways of organising responses. This approach supports both efficient score improvement within limited preparation time and greater confidence in real communication settings. 

I have previously taught IELTS listening and speaking in an international test preparation setting, where I designed personalised study plans and supported students in achieving measurable score improvements. 

To maintain quality and consistency, I work with a limited number of students at any given time.

I also offer guidance on postgraduate applications, including programme selection, personal statements, research proposals, and interview preparation.
 
My support focuses on helping applicants develop clear research interests and articulate them in a coherent and convincing way. I place particular emphasis on how ideas are framed, how arguments are structured, and how applicants position their work within specific fields and institutional contexts.
 
My academic training in gender, media, and cultural studies, together with experience across China, Australia, and Singapore, informs this process. I am familiar with different expectations in qualitative research and interdisciplinary work, and I support applicants in presenting their ideas with clarity and focus.
